Technical Asset
Management

In the field of technical asset management, our specialists have all the skills to keep equipment in a permanently sound condition and, as a result, create the prerequisites for safeguarding and increasing the value of our energy assets. Our technical asset management assumes these tasks to the benefit of all stakeholders, while always keeping an eye on attaining optimal returns. We achieve this by ensuring cutting-edge maintenance management to the highest standards on behalf of our Shareholders.

Once a project is operational, SunTerra becomes responsible for managing the project’s return on investment, its relationships with key stakeholders, and all project-related risks and opportunities, including the company’s strategic exit from a project.

SunTerra's Approach

The team uses a value-based management approach to determine the key performance indicators for a project, which in turn, help to identify relevant value enhancing and risk mitigation initiatives. These may include the refinancing of project loans to lower interest payments and to optimize debt repayment profiles, the release of cash set aside as working capital, and the renegotiation of contracts, such as operation and maintenance (O&M), power purchase agreements (PPA), and land-lease agreements. They may also include the identification and implementation of technology upgrades, operations monitoring, asset integrity management, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management initiatives.
